Ajay Kulkarni, the Co-founder of The Go-To Guy!, recently visited Symbiosis Hyderabad Campus to give a guest lecture on “Opportunities in Marketing” as a visiting industry expert. As our #MarketingEvangelist, he was delighted to find such a curious and enthusiastic audience of young minds.
In his own words, Ajay shared that the session was “one of the most enjoyable experiences” he has had speaking to younger marketing enthusiasts. “It was clear from the beginning that these students were eager to learn and were excited about the possibilities that a career in marketing could offer them,” he said.
Ajay was impressed by the level of engagement that the students showed, asking interesting questions and being genuinely interested in learning more. Although he wasn’t surprised, he was delighted to see so many talented and ambitious students aiming for different careers in marketing.
A Story of Passion
Ajay has always been passionate about marketing. When, at first, his passion for marketing made him quit his very successful career as an engineer, he left no stone unturned in his pursuit for marketing excellence.
He was responsible for marketing successes of many brands across countries. One of his most successful performance marketing strategies boosted a product to a whopping 186 countries even with a limited campaign in only 12 countries, growing its revenue from thousands in a month to lakhs in a day, all within just 3 years.
At the guest lecture, Ajay also shared his personal experiences and insights from his years in the industry, discussing the various career paths that are available in marketing. He emphasized the importance of staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.
According to him, flexibility and adaptability are essential qualities for a marketer to adopt and possess. The marketing landscape is continuously evolving, and it’s essential to be able to adapt to these changes quickly. Marketers need to stay ahead of the curve, whether it’s a new social media platform, a new algorithm update, or a new trend in consumer behavior.
